"Arming a New Navy" highlights the history of the National Museum of the United States Navy's home at the Washington Navy Yard. The museum building was originally a naval gun factory that notably employed a diverse workforce of immigrants and minorities in the 19th century. This exhibit tells a story of life on the navy yard as a gun factory worker, how the workforce shaped the local community, and vice versa.
This small exhibit was designed as an iteration of a rotating display space at the entrance of the museum. The layout and panel display was designed to be flexible to many topics and quickly changeable and adaptable to ensure quick turnover ability with a polished, quality look. I served as exhibit designer, graphic designer, and led printing and production in-house.
